Winterconcert Academic Orchestra
The University Academic Orchestra invites all music lovers to its winter concert on January 24, 2026, at 7 p.m. in the Pauluskirche, Goethestraße. César Franck's Symphony in D minor and music from operas by Ludwig van Beethoven and Giuseppe Verdi will be performed. Tickets costing €12 and €6 can be purchased online or on the evening of the concert.

Big knowledge for little people!
The Children's University team is looking for interested individuals who would like to give a lecture at the Children's University. Children's University lectures are usually held quarterly on a Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Speakers are still needed for February/March 2026, for May 31, 2026, for the Volksstimme Pusteblume Children's Festival, and for December 2026. Organizing a lecture series together
In the summer semester of 2026, another interdisciplinary lecture series on “Transformation and Sustainability” is to take place. Teachers from all disciplines are invited to contribute their topics. Please submit your proposals related to sustainability/transformation to Juliana Hilf by January 9, 2026.
Start of teaching evaluation
From December 1 to 19, 2025, online surveys will once again be conducted among students to gather their feedback on their courses. As usual, all courses offered by the faculties of Natural Sciences, Process and Systems Engineering, and the Language Center will be evaluated this semester—however, all other instructors are also welcome to register for an evaluation.
Access to the campus is possible again
The campus can now be accessed and exited by car via the central entrance from Hohenstaufenring. The entrance along Building 22 remains closed. The temporary entrance and exit on Pfälzer Straße, which was set up during the complete closure, is now once again reserved exclusively for construction vehicles. Due to the ongoing construction work on campus, we ask that you strictly observe the traffic regulations, in particular the required walking speed for vehicles, and continue to show mutual consideration.
Company closure 2026/27
Holiday planning for the coming year is in full swing. To help you plan your 2026 holiday calendar through to the end of the year, here are the dates for the Christmas and New Year 2026/2027 holidays, which include three working days: From December 24, 2026, to January 3, 2027, the buildings, including the computer center and library, will be closed.

Temporary complete closure of all access roads to the western main campus
As part of the ongoing construction work, earthworks are now scheduled to begin, meaning that the western main campus will no longer be accessible via this access road from November 10, 2025. As the laying work for the district heating network by Städtische Werke GmbH (SWM) is also still ongoing, the western main campus will no longer be accessible from Hohenstaufenring.
