Coaching, mentoring, training and networking

Prospective participants can apply for the 11th COMETiN@GraduateAcademy cohort (2026/2027) through the end of August 2026. The one-year program at the Graduate Academy supports female doctoral candidates, postdocs, and academic professionals on their individual career paths. The program focuses on topics such as career profile development, strategic networking, mentoring, resilience, and diversity. In addition, group coaching sessions and opportunities for exchange—both among participants and with alumnae—provide valuable insights.

Phishing emails sent via an OVGU account

Fraudulent emails were sent using compromised OVGU email accounts. The attackers are posing as OVGU’s IT service. With the subject line “Your mailbox is full,” the email claims that the mailbox has exceeded a set storage limit and cannot receive any more messages. This message does not come from OVGU’s IT service. Do not open the links provided under any circumstances. Here’s what to do.

The Federal Ministry of Justice in the shadow of its Nazi past

The traveling exhibition “Die Rosenburg – The Federal Ministry of Justice in the Shadow of the Nazi Past” will conclude with a special closing event at the University Library on June 17, 2026. Following opening remarks, there will be a panel discussion with Federal Minister of Justice Dr. Stefanie Hubig.

Sharing Living Space

Leasing a Bicycle
Employees of the direct state administration in Saxony-Anhalt have the opportunity to participate in the work bicycle leasing program. This offer applies to employees covered by collective bargaining agreements and civil servants. The service provider JobRad offers a fully digital ordering process that integrates the payroll office to review and approve the applications submitted by employees.

Vasalopp-Veteranin Silvana Friedrich

First German Vasalopp Veteran 

90 kilometers on skis—once a year in Sweden, the international cross-country skiing community takes on the Vasalopp challenge. OVGU alumna Silvana Friedrich completed the race for the 30th time in 2026. She now holds the title of “Vasalopp Veteran.” So far, only 22 women have achieved this. Silvana Friedrich is the first German woman to earn the title “Vasalopp Veteran.”
