Neue Struktur für besseren Service

Structural changes came into effect in the Central Services Department (K5) on January 1, 2026. The aim is to optimize service and quality in the performance of tasks by bundling responsibilities and exploiting synergy effects.

Department K51 (formerly Building Services Department) is now called Infrastructure Building Management and remains the central point of contact for janitorial and relocation services, maintenance cleaning, and guest accommodations at OVGU. The Fleet and Gardening departments have been taken over from Department K52 and can still be reached at the usual contact details (Fleet: phone 0391 67-50019 and email ; Gardening: phone 0391-67-52929 and email gaertnerei@ovgu.de). To ensure efficient processing of all requests, inquiries can also be sent to the department's standard service address at at any time.

Department K52 (formerly the Security Services and Open Space Management Department) is now called the Security Services and Shipping Center Department and is the point of contact for general security and safety issues, the allocation of open spaces for events, questions regarding parking space management, including permits, the university lost and found office, and all questions regarding locking plans and the allocation of locking authorizations.

Furthermore, the former central mail office is assigned to Department K52 under the new name “Shipping Center.” As before, all postal matters for the OVGU are handled here, and now all shipping matters related to goods-related export control are also handled centrally.
